How to translate a video

There're three steps in video translation:
Upload video to YouTube
Show video on Termsoup
Translate video with hotkeys

1. Upload video to YouTube

- Upload video to your YouTube account (See tutorial)
- Make sure to set privacy to Private if you don't want others to see or find your video.





YouTube video privacy:
Public: Anyone at YouTube can view public videos. They can also be shared with anyone using YouTube.
Unlisted: Unlisted videos and playlists can be viewed and shared by anyone with the link.
Private: Private videos and playlists can be seen by you and whomever you choose.

2. Show video on Termsoup

- After uploading source texs to Termsoup, go to translation page
- Click on the video icon on the right side



- Click on the Gear icon on the top right



- Paste video link



- Click on "Send"

3. Translate video with hotkeys

- Use hotkeys to control video when translating

Play / Pause: Ctr / Cmd p
Go to current segment: Ctr / Cmd m (SRT only)
Forwad 5 seconds: Alt → (Right arrow on your keyboard)
Backward 5 seconds: Alt ← (Left arrow on your keyboard)

How to get YouTube subtitle

Paste YouTube cideo link to the following website and download subtitle.

Please noted that YouTube auto generate subtitles have a better quality in English videos.

Increase volume

To increase video volume, please download and install Volume Master browser plugin (For Chrome and Brave browsers).
